Beech hardwood flooring often has a very unique color variation between pale white and reddish brown between boards. The grain of the wood is straight and mostly closed, with a fine uniform texture. Beech wood floor surfaces may sometimes have a silvery sheen.
Beech wood is used in factory, high traffic floor areas since it wears well and stays smooth when subjected to repeated friction, but it is also great for home or office rooms. This wood has excellent splinter and shock resistance because of its hardness and elasticity. If exposed to moisture, there can be some distortion in the grain, so having this wood in the kitchen or bathroom area is probably a wrong choice.
